What is an EPC and what does Phillip need to do to create one?

To collect the data required Phillip will carry our an assesment of the house, he usually starts by creating a floorplan to calculate the square footage of the house, he’ll measure ceiling heights and look our for a more modern extension or conservatory. He’ll look at the wall thickness of the original house and its construction, he’ll look at the house or flats heating, it maybe electric storage heaters or the latest air source heat pump. More often than not it is to identify the age of a gas boiler and the insulation on a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. His lease favourite part of the assesment is a look up in the roof space to measure the loft insulation. All this takes about 30 minutes and your EPC will be live on the GOV.UK website later the same day.
